A New Hampshire Ice Castle

Monday, January 13th, 2014

Yesterday we drove 90 miles north to see an ice castle in Lincoln, New Hampshire. It really wasn’t what I had imagined, due to a few too many episodes about ice hotels that I’ve caught on the Travel Channel in the past. (It wasn’t what my daughter pictured, either, due to her seeing Frozen just a few days before - ha!) What we found ourself walking through was an active, melting-then-refreezing, icicle-growing sculpture that seems to change every day. Certain parts of it made you feel like you were in a glacier-blue ice cave with thousands of ice stalactites above your head. The sculptor mentioned that the temporary nature of it, the stages that we get to enjoy before it’s gone, is his favorite part.

Yesterday I photographed my last wedding of the year, and it was perfect.

I’m so excited to share images from Amanda and Dan’s late-summer, mountain wedding. High-school sweethearts, getting married after 10 years together…I love their story. Here are a few of my favorite images from their beautiful Jackson, NH wedding…enjoy!

Joey and Kristen’s White Mountains Wedding

Friday, August 31st, 2012

Joey and Kristen were married August 11, 2012 at The Grand Summit Hotel in Bartlett, New Hampshire. I met them last Fall for their Jackson engagement session, and have been looking forward to this one ever since. They live, work, and play in the gorgeous White Mountains, and they’re one of those couples that balance complete comfort and excitement of new love when they’re together. That’s an incredible thing to be around and to capture, and I’m so happy I got to be a part of their wedding story. My love to you both, Kristen and Joey! ~ Lindsey

Waiting for her Dad to walk through the door and see his youngest daughter as a bride. Such a perfect, sweet moment…

Joey seeing Kristen walk down the aisle, and Kristen’s Mom watching his reaction. It was perfect.
