Cori and Mike were married May 10th at Church Landing on Lake Winnipesaukee. I was nervous about photographing this wedding. It was my first one since last year, my first one since having a baby, and I hadn’t picked up my camera for quite a while. I felt like maybe I would be rusty, or I’d forget something. But then I arrived, and I was greeted with a group of friends surrounding Cori with such love and excitement while she got ready, with a bunch of guys not able to hide their happiness for Mike on his day, with family that was beaming and just so excited that the day had come. The joy from Cori and Mike as they were almost ready to see each other for the first time was a joy for me to be around and to capture. I only met Cori a year ago when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed, but every time I get to talk to her I’m reminded what a genuinely kind, caring person she is - that there’s a reason that her and Mike have such a wonderful group of friends - because they are truly wonderful people. It made my first wedding ‘back to work’ a really, really good day, and I can’t thank them enough for that. These are just a few of my favorite images from their beautiful May wedding day…enjoy!

I am so excited to finally share this story! It will forever stand out as one of the most unique experiences I’ve had as a photographer, and I have nothing but the most wonderful memories from this day. Dwight planned for months this elaborate proposal for his love, Sandy. He arranged for their closest friends and family, from all over the world, to gather at the Flume Gorge and surprise Sandy as she and Dwight went for what she thought was just a fun Friday hike. At points throughout the loop, she would run into her family from across the country and her oldest friends she hasn’t seen in ages. After ‘running into’ the first few groups of people, she knew something special was happening. At the end of the hike (about an hour and about 45 excited reunions later) Dwight proposed. She said YES, not knowing that the biggest surprise was that he had planned an elaborate, gorgeous wedding for that afternoon. She was completely blown away and speechless. The wedding was dreamed up and designed by Kristin of
