I’ve had these images sitting on my computer for weeks, waiting for a chance to write something not-inadequate about this family and this day. But it seems that day may never come! It was one of those I’ll-remember-this times when I was shooting exactly what I always hoped I’d have the chance to shoot one day. I only knew these lovely people through Instagram before this day, but that can feel like enough sometimes (this is so much one of those times). Shooting Meaghan and her family was part of a workshop with yan, who is someone I stumbled upon a few years ago and whose work has been something to aspire to, something to remind me that perfect is boring and an image can remind you of the way a moment felt in the most wonderful way. Learning from her for a day changed my path is subtle ways and my approach is huge ways. I’m so grateful for this day. These are a few of my favorite moments with Meaghan and her beautiful family. xo
